(KPL) Around 100 people representing central agencies and local authorities have been trained on agro product processing.
Held at the training centre of the Lao Front for National Development in Vientiane, the workshop was opened on Jul 17 and closed on Aug 6.
The workshop represented the cooperation between the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries, and the training centre of the Lao Front for National Development.
The closing ceremony of the workshop was held on Aug 6 in the participation of Vice President of Laos-China Cooperation Committee Khenthong Sisouvong, Ms Luo Yanqin, assistant to the director of the Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries and representatives of relevant sectors.
The trainees learned about agro product processing and how to address difficulties in the development of agriculture product processing industry in Laos and the application of Chinese modern agro processing techniques and equipment.
The training also provided the opportunity to promote cooperation between Chinese and Lao enterprises.
The workshop was among efforts to promote the implementation of Belt and Road Initiative and economic development potentials, more specifically the agro product processing industry.
